SplxAI, an early-stage startup working on technology to help organizations protect their conversational AI applications, has raised $2 million in a pre-seed venture capital investment.

The company said the funding round was led by Inovo.vc, with additional investments from Runtime Ventures, South Central Ventures, and several angel investors.

Founded in 2023, SplxAI is working on a security platform that can identify vulnerabilities in AI chatbots and conversational systems.

With the adoption of AI spiking across industries and the market for generative AI expected to reach $40 billion by 2030, the startup plans to build an end-to-end platform for offensive AI security that will allow enterprises to securely adopt and use generative AI.

The solution automates advanced attack scenarios, including hallucinations, prompt injections, and off-topic conversations, to help AI security teams identify threats and vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.

According to SplxAI, its solution will map the risk surface to compliance frameworks, can monitor threat activity in real time, and supports multi-modal pentesting scenarios across various types of attachments.

The company will use the investment to accelerate product development, hire new talent, and scale operations, with a focus on the US market.

“We’re seeing a significant shift in AI security, and organizations must adopt proactive security strategies to mitigate potential threats. Traditional pentesting methods can’t keep up with the rapid advancements in AI, but Probe’s automated, continuous pentesting is designed to address these challenges and protect enterprise AI assets,” SplxAI CEO Kristian Kamber said.
