The web usually works amazingly well — but what happens when it doesn’t? We expect seamless access to our applications and services at any time — our business depends on it. However, a lot of the time, this expectation doesn’t always match reality.

Far from being a magically resilient and infallible network, the internet (both public internet and your private IP network) is complex, highly fragile, constantly changing, and prone to outages and service disruptions. These problems can lead to slowdowns, data loss, and operational headaches for the Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) on the front lines, ensuring that our digital world remains accessible and functional.

Announcing Catchpoint IPM on Google Cloud Marketplace

Recognizing these challenges, we are excited to announce that Catchpoint’s suite of Internet Performance Monitoring (IPM) solutions, designed to help ensure the performance and resilience of your digital world, is now available on the Google Cloud Marketplace. This partnership makes the robust capabilities of Catchpoint IPM readily available to the Google Cloud community, providing proactive monitoring of your entire Internet Stack, including all your Google Cloud services.

Leverage IPM for unparalleled global visibility

Your applications are likely cloud-based, API and service-oriented, and geographically dispersed. Today you need IPM to get the visibility you need into every facet of the Internet that impacts your business – your customers, workforce, networks, applications, and websites.

It is critical to get visibility into everything that can impact an application: from a user’s Wi-Fi connectivity, through core internet systems and protocols like DNS and BGP, and your own IP infrastructure such as SD-WAN, SASE, or point-to-point connections. Global businesses need to understand the real-world experience of customers and internal users, wherever they are, including the impact of ISP, routing, and other aspects. This visibility is what IPM provides.

1.internet stack

Unlike conventional Application Performance Management (APM) tools that concentrate on the internal application stack, Catchpoint IPM monitors the entire journey between your applications and your users. This includes BGP, DNS, CDNs, ISPs and all service delivery pathways within the Google Cloud infrastructure such as compute, API management, data analytics, cloud storage, machine learning and networking products.

Powered by the world’s largest independent observability network, with nearly 3,000 vantage points worldwide, our award-winning platform enables our users to monitor from where it matters, helping network professionals to find and fix issues before they impact the business.

IPM solutions to achieve internet resilience

With Catchpoint’s IPM platform on the Google Cloud Marketplace, you gain access to a suite of powerful tools designed to elevate your monitoring capabilities. Here’s a glimpse of what you can look forward to

Test Suite for Google Cloud: Launch Google Cloud Monitoring tests in just a few clicks

2.test suites

The Test Suite for Google Cloud empowers IT teams to rapidly deploy multiple tests for Google Cloud services, utilizing Google Cloud’s and Catchpoint’s best practices for prompt issue detection and troubleshooting. Its design focuses on minimizing complexity and time investment for effective Google Cloud service monitoring, making it particularly user-friendly for newcomers.

The Test Suite includes pre-set test templates for key Google Cloud services such as BigQuery, Spanner, Cloud Storage, and Compute Engine. These templates are easily customizable, allowing users to quickly adapt tests to their specific requirements, which is particularly beneficial for businesses needing swift deployment and monitoring of their cloud services.

Internet Stack Map: A gamechanger for ensuring the performance of your key applications

3.stack map

Internet Stack Map shows you a live view of the health of your digital service and the services it depends on. You can set as many as you’d like up for any or all of your key applications or services. For each one, Internet Stack Map will use AI to automatically discover all of the external components and dependencies that your websites and applications use to run.

At a glance, you can understand the health of your application or service by looking across the Internet through backbone connections and core protocols, all the way down to the origin server and its supporting infrastructure, in addition to any third-party dependencies, external APIs, and other services across the Internet. This unique, next-generation view is not possible with any other monitoring or observability provider.

Internet Sonar: Answer the question: “Is it me or something else?”

4.Sonar

Catchpoint Internet Sonar intelligently provides simple, trustworthy internet health information at a glance so you can get ahead of productivity or experience-impacting incidents. Internet Sonar uses data from the world's largest, independent active observability network to monitor from where it matters. The result is an AI-powered, real-time status report that can be displayed via an interactive map and dashboard widget or accessed by any system via an API.
